Stand Tall

Let us stand tall
Like the silent sentinals,
Trees.
Stand tall and reach out,
Our branches entwined
Touching caresses.
Winds of change come and go,
Some fierce and cold
But trees sway and stand firm.
Sway in the maelstrom.
Branches and twigs touching
The other in reassurance.
After the storm, shines the sun,
Warm and enlivening.
Trees stand tall, their branches held aloft.
Glowing with light and wonder.
Leaves whispering words of love.
Let us stand tall…
Like trees.
